Growing vegetables has become a passion for Anna; going from seed, to harvest, to plate has given her a huge appreciation for the provenance and quality of the things she consumes. On completion of her Plant Sciences studies in Vienna, she was drawn back to her hometown of Mals to pursue the only profession that makes sense to her.
After the death of her Great Uncle in 2015, Anna wanted to revitalize and breathe life back into his farm. With help from her father Hubert, she cultivates rye, potatoes and a variety of different vegetables, and continues with authenticity the lifework of her Great Uncle.
One of the most important things for Anna is that her customers know exactly what they get on their plates. As such, The Sockerhof is proudly BIO-certified, using organic principles, to produce untreated, nutrient dense vegetables, just like the good old days.
